Currently, my dress uniform consists of jeans, t-shirt, and any cute shoes I can get away with.
This morning I was looking for some clean jeans in my closet and complained (yet again) to myself that I have nothing to wear. I know this is ridiculous since as it turns out, I still have numerous choices if I were going to church, out to eat in a restaurant or digging in the dirt. Sometimes I feel like I have had this complaint my entire life. Here are the seasons with an excuse as to why I have "nothing to wear":
Teenager: Nothing {cool} to wear because everything that is in style has to be bought at Wet Seal and our family shopped at Mervyn’s
College Chick: Nothing to wear because every last dollar I had went toward the Purple Power Ranger… car payment, gas, insurance
Student Teacher: Nothing to wear because I was working for free
Teacher: Nothing to wear because I didn’t have time to go shopping or do laundry… I pretty much lived at school
Mother: Nothing to wear because I have to change my clothes three times a day from spit-up

this is hilarious, susie, and oh so true.
i did have a fantastic shopping trip right before i student taught: eddie bauer had a warehouse sale in cincinnati and i bought $750 worth of grown-up clothes for under $150. and i got A LOT. of course, every last thing i got there is gone now, because that was *gasp* 12 years ago.
I *just* had a conversation with myself this morning…..I have no church clothes. Truly……growing up, we dressed up for church. I have always tried to make my children pretty dressed up as well. They see sooooooo many people in our church dressing down and I have given in for them to a point, where they don’t have to dress up but no jeans etc. Anyway, I still like to dress up but as I stood in front of my closet this morning, realized, I have nothing to wear.
Okay I don’t even know where I am going with this! LOL!
isnt that the gosh darn truth…its like once you wear something you might as weel give it away because the next time you even think about wearing it, its out of style…Anyways mom bought me new shoes yesterday and i cleaned out my shoe closet and got rite of 14 pairs of shoes….que horibe…! they are all out of style…! O well..!
me: nothing to wear because my boobs are in a constant state of change. nothing ever fits.
I always have something to wear because, I hate to shop…..hence I would rather wear just what I’ve got than go shopping. I do belive that my hate of shopping has made my girls love to do it . Right Susie?
I have nothing to wear as I am not quite back into my old clothes after Lily decided to build a huge addition on to her first “home.” Wouldn’t it be great to be able to have circle clothes like a circle journal? Then there would always be something new-you know if they fit like the traveling pants…
I’m with ya! Identical reasons girl! But now I have to add totally broke, and the kids clothes always come first. LOL : )
I too have nothing to wear… for a different reason. In fact I have a lot to wear if only I were 20 pounds lighter and my middle wasn’t expanding. I hate shopping… one more sacrifice for the baby!
haha. I completely agree, but what always makes me laugh about it, is the way that Dan rolls his eyes when I tell him that I have nothing to wear!
Marie’s comment about the addition that her daughter built is just too funny (but true). I can totally relate about having nothing to wear.
Very good! So true! How about the time that you are going up in sizes or down in sizes when having a baby. Thats where I am and I am sure you understand
My uniform is jeans, t-shirts (long sleeved right now . . . I do branch out and go short-sleeved in the summer) and flip flops. Sometimes, now, with a sweater thrown on top if it’s California chilly.

Marie’s comment about the addition made me laugh so hard.
