Awhile ago, the publicist of the author of that cup e-mailed me and said that kc wanted to send me a little thank-you in the mail.
Andy teased me a bit and said it was some crazed internet reader pulling my leg.
Until today when I arrived home and there was a little package waiting at my doorstep.
And I made Andy retract his statement since this is what I found in the package:
And I know all is good in the world since :
1.This reaffirmed that there is still a lot of good in people that you don’t know
and
2. I have a renewed appreciation for the internet and all of its amazing connections waiting to be found.
Now I have to try even harder to contain myself in Starbucks and keep from telling them that I have personal connections with the author (albeit electronic). You should see me get all jittery and excited as a nice barista hands me a cup with that saying!
And that, I promise, is the final word on that.

You’re famous by association.
That is the coolest thing!

How amazing, Susie! That guy seems so open and generous, too. Very cool.
neah - you only live once…brag all you want to the barista! Maybe you can get some free coffee out of this too?

By the way - how is the 5 Starbucks/month thing going? I’m still going strong. Seriously! oh, but did I mention it’s because I visit the local cafe 3 days a week now? Little cheaper, but not much. (sigh) I have no will-power.
That is so cool. I can’t belive this rubbing elbows with the writers.
