I love to make to-do lists and even more than that, I love to cross things off my list that I have completed!! List making helps me set a short term goal and finish it so I can have the bit of gratification upon the completion of the project to cross off. Yep- I said it. Grab a pen within sight, put it on the paper and ziiiiiiiiiiip it’s done. Finished. Love that. I like crossing off my to-dos. It just makes me feel good.
I read somewhere that writing down your to-dos doesn’t necessarily increase productivity or decrease procrastination, but helps get your plans organized. My problem seems to be that once I have thought up a list of things I need to do, I create more projects or ideas to add on to the list.
A few notes on my own to-do list posted on the left there… Andy veto’d the taking down the star in the kitchen (it is a large wooden decorative thing). It is just awful, but we are renters and I have to accept that this home just isn’ t mine. I don’t think we’ve lost too many friends because of it.
Second note, I have stalled on the memo board since I apparently don’t know how to use the staple gun. And can’t find the box that goes with it. Pfft.
Third, and final note, can you see the one item left I have yet to finish? Yep, I have a bad habit of putting off the least desirable to-do for last.
Alright, I better get crackin’.

Okay, one more thing… Since the Daily Grind is on hiatus for the month
, I’ll just share a fun photo from yesterday here: Can you see the pure joy in Sarah’s little face?? Becca took her on a ride down in Mission Beach. So, so fun. She jumped out of the gate when the ride was over and said, "Can we go on that one now, Mama?" jumping and pointing at the ride next door.

i loved the ride it was so much fun…!
I’m impressed. Lot’s of stuff crossed off that big list of yours. That ride looks like fun but a bit scary. Glad you’re having a good time with your family.

The same one that’s left on your to-do list is the same one that’s left on mine. Ugh.
I love to-do lists, I love making them, I love completing them, I love the way they make me feel good about my time….I could make a list on the subject!!
i LOVE to do lists! i make a to do list almost everyday in my paper journal, except i don’t look at it again until the end of the day because i like being able to cross off a whole bunch of stuff at one time. when i do have a to do list going through out the day i sometimes add things to it like brush my teeth, just so i can cross things off.
or i add things to the list that i’ve already done just to feel accomplished!
maybe I should try lists - my husband is the list maker in the family - they do seem to work though.
oh, about the vacuum - it’s my mil’s vacuum. it was extra, so we decided to put it in storage. she wouldn’t be real happy to know it’s still in my trunk :p hee,hee
I, too, am a lister.
And I, too, leave the yuckiest jobs for last.
