Quote of the Day

I was reading my MOMSense magazine and came across this gem from an article that made me laugh out loud. I think my fellow mommy friends will be able to appreciate this:

"As for me, I stepped away from my career to be at home with my kids, where my sanity is often determined by the length and frequency of their naps."

- excerpt from Reshaping Old Friendships by Alexandra Kuykendall

Oh yes. I remember those days… wish I could get these kids to nap sometimes… but my almost twelve-year-old sort of balks at the idea… darn it.

Just noticed what book you’re reading - the Mark of the Lion series is one of my favorites! I’ve been wanting to check them out from the library again and re-read them. They’re totally ‘can’t put ‘em down’ books…

Okay, this is embarassing to admit, but I just Googled myself and found this post! Thanks for making my night. I’m glad you liked the quote and now you make me feel like a famous mommy.

Hi, we had dinner at Alex Kuykendall’s house this past Saturday. Guess what she served for dessert? Your pumpkin chocolate chip squares! How fun is that? I really like your site.
