in a land far away (not too far, but far enough), we visited my mother-in-law’s home to celebrate Thanksgiving. Before the onset of the big turkey feast with 22 some relatives and non-relatives, there was climbing up the stairs by wee ones:
exploring cavernous and interesting rooms in the castle by the bigger one:
and pre-meal picture outtakes by the even older ones (would you like to know what we are laughing about? this same argument, never gets old):
There were plenty of hardworking servants preparing the feast:
A plethora of noble guests enjoying cocktail hour as the last minute preparations were being made:
(note the five pies on the counter that tripled by the time dessert rolled around)
And finally, the people gathered together for a meal time prayer which promptly ended with food collection and a scattering about the castle to sit and enjoy a meal of thanks.
The end.

I got Maya the sweater from Gymboree that matches the pattern in Ashleigh’s dress. Too cute! Sounds like a great day. What did you end up making?
